2020…amirite?

Having a baby is supposed to be one of the sweetest times of your life, right? Baby announcements and showers and bikini bump photos during a weekend get-away…then…nothing. You can’t take anyone to appointments, you aren’t supposed to have a baby shower or you could lose Grandma, it’s now not safe to even take a babymoon. Are you nesting or are you stir crazy.

So, what do you do when your pediatrician says, “No visitors for EIGHT weeks UNLESS they’ve self quarantined for two!” AND you still want precious newborn photos????!!!!!

Let me tell you, when I first imagined doing a newborn photoshoot FROM OUTSIDE THE HOUSE…well, I’m just glad I ignored myself and went to meet this PERFECT, tiny, little human. We did the session 100% from outside while on speaker phone with each other. There were step-ladders and reflectors and I’m positive that a few neighbors became quite suspicious!! We let the windows and the doors do the editing for us because trying to make it seem like 2020 has given us anything other than glares…would be quite the … mask. (Yeah, that was bad… don’t unfriend me.)

Ok…I’ve stalled enough, meet Baby D, right through the glass.
